Viscoelastic core
The viscoelastic mattress topper reacts to body pressure and offers a low counter-pressure effect. This means that the viscoelastic foam becomes softer and moulds to the body. The material is distributed under the body to maximise the surface area in contact with the mattress
and,in combination with the extremely low counter-pressure effect, provides pressure relief (anti-decubitus), which is why viscoelastic foam is often used in hospitals. The foam is produced as a foam and has a density of SG50 and a core thickness of approx. 4 cm.
SG stands for specific density, which is the number of kilograms of material used per cubic metre (kg/m3) in the mattress. The higher the specific density, the better the point elasticity, resilience and durability.
A viscoelastic (NASA foam) mattress topper heats up during sleep. The heat causes the mattress to mould completely to your body. This reduces pressure, especially on the joints, and offers you even better support during sleep.
